Eating healthy is very important
for all of us, well balanced diet not only provides energy for whole day it
also helps us to keep healthy and strong. But is this the only key for
attaining good health? The answer is No,
Eating balanced meal with “exercise” is the secret mantra of good health.
The reason I have chosen this
topic is, after my pregnancy I gained oodles of pound, I was eating healthy and
balanced diet but it was not helping me in reducing single gram of my body fat,
yes I am talking about my weight, as many health problems comes up in cluster
along with the weight. I was always ready with the excuses to not doing workout
and my favourite excuse was –“no time”.
But there is a very famous proverb –“Better late than never”. I realised the
power of the exercise when I started doing that by managing time, and trust me
it changed my life totally.
We live in busy world and it’s
very important for us to focus on our health, managing time for doing exercise
or walking. Specially for working people it’s really difficult to manage time,
after long hour at work taking out time is tough but not impossible. So here
are some tips from my side, which you can incorporate in your lifestyle and
bring change into your life.
1. Starting small-Start with baby step by incorporating
small bit of exercise in your daily routine, instead of changing your schedule
abruptly. Waking up 10-15 min early than your regular schedule will help it,
you can utilize this time focussing on your fitness and this 10-15 min moving
around will give your day a kick-start.

2. Move more at work-Sitting for long time
is the root cause of many diseases, which leads to less concentration on work
and decrease your productivity. So it’s always advisable to move around in
certain intervals or to do some light stretching.
the research suggests
-doing exercise during workday will enhance your productivity. Now the
employers also noticed this formula, many organisation have health and wellness
zone.
3. Limit your screen time-Believe it or
not, the amount of time we use to spend on screen is killing our creativity, it
makes us couch potato and kills our time, by staying away from screen we can
actually utilize our time for some physical activity like- running, walking etc.
4. Bring the family -Sometime after work because
of family obligations we find difficult to manage time, happens with me also
many time. Bringing your family in will also help, you can plan a walk after
dinner or plan doing some activity during weekend, the best part is the kids
will also learn the good habit of staying fit and active, that sounds good
right? It’s very important to calculate good habit in children since their
childhood.
5. Adding colleagues and friend in league-Try
to find like-minded people, it will be quite motivational, you can set target
and motivate each other for attaining it. It increases your chance to stick to
your workout regime and it make your session fun.
Last but not the least, Set a
smart goal each time and make it attainable so that in the long run you will
achieve your bigger goal. Once you started doing that it will build in your
habit.
